Ligg Hospital boasts cutting-edge infrastructure and amenities, comprising advanced Operation Theatres, an Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units (both Surgical and Medical), a High Dependency Unit, Critical Care unit, round-the-clock patient care, casualty care, an Exclusive Day Procedure Unit, Renal Unit, Central Sterilizing Department, Imaging Department, Laboratory services, and Pharmacy for both inpatient and outpatient services.
NICU facilities
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) features four beds and is equipped with centralized oxygen, air, and suction connections from the Gas plant. In-house doctors and trained nurses are available 24/7.
The NICU is furnished with:
1. A Neonatal Ventilator (Maquet Servo-i)
2. Bubble C-PAP machine
3. GE Lullabay phototherapy unit
4. Double surface Phototherapy
5. Baby Warmers from Nice Neotech Neonatal monitors (GE)
Additionally, arterial blood gas analysis (with ABG analyzer) and dialysis facilities are accessible for patients within the NICU. All neonates are initially evaluated by a Pediatrician at the Labour room post-delivery, with only sick babies being selectively transferred to the NICU.
Labour Room facilities
At LIGG, our specially designed Labour room, centrally air-conditioned, offers a serene and personalized environment for your labor and delivery experience. You will be accommodated in this room until the birth of your baby.
The Labor room supervisor, alongside the Gynecologist and Pediatrician, oversee the entire delivery process. Fetal well-being is assessed using a CTG-Cardiotocography machine from Borze, Germany, and Fetal Dopplers. The Labor room is furnished with:
1. One operating light and operating table
2. Two delivery beds
3. Central oxygen and air supply
4. Crash cart stocked with a complete range of medications
5. Multipara patient monitors

Endoscopy Unit facilities
Endoscopes, flexible tubes with video chips, provide live video images displayed on a screen. During the procedure, patients lie on their side as the doctor gently inserts the endoscope through the mouth and down the throat, occasionally causing normal sensations like burping. Patients must fast before the procedure, refraining from eating for six hours and avoiding milky drinks six hours before and clear fluids two hours before.
The unit operates from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily and offers a 24-hour emergency GI bleed service. Facilities include toilets, admission rooms, changing areas, preparation rooms, recovery areas, and a discharge area with provisions for hot/cold beverages. Additionally, an interview room is available for private discussions with staff.
Dialysis Unit facilities
The Dialysis Unit at LIGG provides essential care for patients with kidney dysfunction, utilizing hemodialysis to eliminate excess water and waste products from the body, including urea and creatinine.
During hemodialysis, blood is extracted from the patient’s arm through a tube and filtered by a specialized machine before being returned to the body. This process, lasting several hours, ensures thorough cleansing of the blood as it cycles through the machine multiple times.
The Nephrology and Urology department at LIGG offers comprehensive services for various conditions, including acute kidney injuries, kidney, ureter, and bladder stones, chronic kidney failure, and renal and urological cancers.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology from Fresenius, USA, the dialysis unit ensures high-quality care for patients in need of life-saving dialysis treatments.
CSSD Unit facilities
The Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) offers essential services in preparing sterile medical supplies for surgery rooms, ICUs, NICUs, and other medical stations. Its role in preventing hospital-acquired infections is vital for comprehensive healthcare. Equipped with a Vertical sterilizer, Horizontal sterilizer, and washing machine, the CSSD conducts specialized hygienic operations such as pre-sterilization preparation and high and low-temperature sterilization. Collaborating closely with surgical and outpatient clinic staff, the department ensures a consistent supply of sterile materials to maintain high standards of sterilization and healthcare quality.
ETO Sterilization facilities
ETO Sterilization, a method utilizing Ethylene Oxide gas at low temperatures (typically 37-63°C), effectively reduces infectious agents. This gas, often mixed with substances like CO2 or steam, is suitable for sterilizing heat-sensitive items like plastics. Monitoring temperature is crucial during this process.
